AMPATANGELOU ENGLISH LEARNING SCHOOL
The student and their goals have always been — and will always remain — our priority.

Our story, by Angeliki Ampatangelou
50 years dedicated to the English language.
1976 – The beginning
Our story begins in 1976, when my mother, Teresa Sinigalia-Ampatangelou, having completed her studies, decided to follow what she truly loved: teaching English.
Since then, many things have changed. Students’ needs, examinations, teaching methods, even the way we communicate with the world.
Some things, however, have remained the same. Above all, the student.
From the very beginning, my mother’s goal was to create a school where every student would have a clear path, specific goals and meaningful knowledge. This philosophy became the foundation on which our entire journey was built.
1988 – A tradition of giving
My mother has always believed that a school is not separate from the community in which it operates. So, in 1988, she launched our annual Christmas Bazaar, with the aim of supporting people and organisations in need.
Through personal effort, handmade creations and contributions, together with the participation of students, parents and friends of the school, this initiative gradually became a cherished tradition that we continue with great joy.
For us, it is another way of remembering that education extends far beyond the walls of a classroom.
2001 – Continuing the journey
In 2001, after completing my studies, the time came for me to become an active part of this story as well. I did not feel that I was starting something new. I felt that I was taking on the responsibility of continuing something that had already been built with hard work, consistency and love.
Since then, together with my mother and our colleagues, we have continued to evolve, follow developments in education and adapt the way we teach to the needs of each new generation.
What has never changed is the way we see each student: as a unique individual, with their own strengths, challenges and goals.
Today – 50 years later
Today, fifty years later, we are still doing what we know and love best.
Teaching English. And only English.
For us, knowing English is not simply about having a certificate on the wall. It is a lifelong asset that can accompany every student throughout their studies, career, travels, communication and connection with the wider world.
Looking back, I feel proud of everything that has been built over all these years.
Looking ahead, our goal remains the same: to continue offering meaningful knowledge, proper guidance and an environment in which every student can grow and develop.
